Food logistics deal with the supply and transport of food and beverages from field to table. Seasonalities, special requirements in the food industry (e.g. cold chain, food safety) and ongoing globalization and concentration in the industry result in numerous research questions of high interest. Main points of focus include coordination and optimization of various processes in the food supply chain as well as sustainable delivery of products.
This blog will provide updates on recent research activities and development in the field as well as on related topic such as applied optimization, simulation optimization and decision support systems.
